The surface of the yarn fades with washing, and the yarn thins due to wear, creating a color gradation. Indigo yarn-dyed yarn is prone to color transfer, so it stains factory equipment. Therefore, there are very few factories that can make this type of fabric, making it a very rare product. This fabric made with No. 7 yarn is slightly thicker than that is used for the popular UES No. 8 slub nep T shirt, and is very durable. In addition, compared to the No. 16 yarn-dyed T-shirt with the same yarn-dyed indigo, the yarn is much thicker, so it fades wildly.

Thermal is known as a cut-and-sew material for cold weather, but it is roughly divided into two types, waffle and honeycomb, based on the shape of the knitted fabric. This is a waffle shape, and we used thick yarn and a low gauge knitting machine, so the knitted fabric is large, so we named it Big Waffle. The uneven part of the fabric has the function of storing warm air and has excellent heat retention. Contrary to the voluminous feel of the fabric, the fabric stretches moderately, making it extremely comfortable to wear.

Since it is thicker than regular fabric, we use a special sewing machine called a flat seamer to sew the seams flat. Available in 4 colors: last season’s white, black, and navy plus a new sand beige.  The fabric weighs 13 oz.

The cardigan rib stitch (face side) knit fabric uses a special uneven-textured slub yarn to reproduce the texture of GARA spinning. GARA spinning is an abbreviation of the yarn produced to use an old spinning machine that makes rattle sounds like “GARA GARA”.  Although this kind of spinning machines are no longer in operation, the unevenness created by the imperfect machine produced a unique fabric.  Ues new product expresses this unique texture of the fabric with a thick single-rib knit of 11.8 ounces. Because the fabric is thick, the product is sewn using vintage 4-needle workwear sewing machines which makes the seams flat. The crewneck V-gusset design pays homage to the classic sweatshirt.
