This “Type 2” jacket is made using *kibata* (raw/unfinished) denim. While we previously used sanforized (pre-shrunk) denim, the switch to raw denim aims to achieve a fabric texture that better complements our bottoms when worn as a matching set. Raw denim shrinks significantly upon washing and twists along the twill lines, yet it offers a wonderfully natural texture. We hope you enjoy the unique character created by these distinctive qualities in the finished product.

The denim jacket “W900-J” was planned to be worn as a set up with the 400WW Post World WarⅡ denim pants , which are popular for their moderate thickness.
Like 400WW, it is sewn with yellow thread.
Because the sleeve pattern is made up of one piece, it expressed the rugged silhouette of the work taste. With its moderate body width, you can wear this 14.9 oz denim comfortably.
Four buttons peculiar to the Post World WarⅡModel. It is recommended to wear it by showing the V stitch without fastening the bottom button.
This V-stitch is not a vintage origin but a UES original arrangement.

We designed a 1st type denim jacket using the same fabric as the new 17oz denim 400-Z so that it can be worn as a set. The red selvedge, a sign of vintage, is used lavishly on the front facing, belt, and cuffs.

The fabric used is non-shrink-proof kibata. Therefore, the one-wash product has some twisting in the body and sleeves, but this is intentional. Because the fabric is not shrink-proof, the original softness of the thread (material) and the bulkiness of the fabric are well reflected in the appearance of the product.
